The light go on
HBOT IOM, the charity behind the purchase and installation of the new Hyperbaric Chamber and remodelling of the existing facility in Peel Road, is delighted to report that the project has reached another important milestone.
Engineers from the chamber manufacturers Haux have recently been on the Island to install the system in readiness for the completion of work leading to the final testing and commissioning of this complex lifesaving asset.
The team worked tirelessly over a two-week period to achieve this important goal. Their professionalism and attention to detail was clear to be seen.
They were supported by local contractors Ardern and Druggan (electrical) Compressed Air Services (LP air) and resident plumber John Worth.
Company Secretary and HBOT Director Debbie Barron, who has been responsible for organising the project from the start said “This important stage demonstrates the ability of this charity to achieve its objectives.
However, the pressure is now on to raise sufficient funds to enable us to enter the final stages of the project, which include financing the provision of services and specialist training within the field of Hyperbaric Medicine”.
As ever, the charity would welcome anyone who would be interested in organising events or marketing the charity to contact us.
We would also like to thank all those financial organisations and individuals who continue to support this charity’s vision.
Your donation today will determine how soon this charity will be able to commence patient treatments.
